I've always found blog
reviews really helpful when choosing films to see at the Edinburgh
Film Festival as many have only made the festival circuit so far and
don't have reviews by major sites or publications yet. So I
decided to start a blog to share my thoughts on the films I see in
case it helps anyone thinking of seeing them at other festivals in
the future. We'll see where it goes from there. Plus it might
save my friends from listening to my witterings after I've enjoyed a
film too much!
Based in Edinburgh I love going to the cinema. I'm enthusiastic about
films even though I haven't seen all of the ones I should, but I'm
catching up. I liked to think my tastes are pretty eclectic. When
people ask my taste in films, I say my taste is 'good' films. It can be
a massive blockbuster, a quirky indie made on a shoestring or a
mesmerising arthouse from somewhere exotic around the globe, it just
needs to have something to it - a new insight into life, some intriguing
character or compelling plot - something to involve me and I'll give it
go and quite probably like it.
